An art form
FARM Rio is unveiling its summer pop-up on the first floor in an incredible space mingling colours and materials. The brand immerses us in a luxuriant jungle where giant plants and joyful hummingbirds come to life – a real ode to Brazilian nature, as seen by Gringo Cardia.
The artist has created a surrealist world where living creatures intermingle with crochet sculpted tropical fruits, colourful prints, XXL birds and flamboyant dresses. A unique, inspiring and immersive journey from Paris to Rio.
FARM RIO & FRIENDS
To mark its return to the French capital, FARM Rio has invited Brazilian friends and artists to join in the event. The beautifully curated outcome showcases the know-how of an assortment of artisans and includes hand-made jewellery, decorative objects and delicate tableware. Discover the culture of Mimi Coelho, Gabriela Batista, and the Kayapó people.
A CHARITY PROJECT
FARM Rio’s fondness for Brazilian culture has prompted it to showcase the know-how of the Instituto Proeza. This UNESCO-backed social organisation employs and trains women from Brasilia in the art of embroidery. Nearly 200 female artisans have transformed the brand’s prints into superb crochet structures, creating a unique topical oasis-like décor right in the heart of Paris !
"Paris has always been a special place for me, and I'm honored to be invited a second time to create this pop-up in such an iconic venue as Le Bon Marché. This time we wanted to showcase our DNA and share that with our local community, celebrating what makes our brand so special. I hope all visitors will be enchanted by this journey from France to Brazil".
– Kátia Barros, cofondatrice et directrice de la création.
